Frequently Asked Questions

Are these real phone numbers?

No. The numbers are randomly generated and follow the US NANP format rules, but they are not assigned to any real person or carrier. Use them safely for testing and development.

What format should I use for databases?

The plain format (XXXXXXXXXX) or E.164 (+1XXXXXXXXXX) are most compatible with database storage and international standards like RFC 3966.

Can I generate more than 50 numbers?

The slider goes up to 50. For larger batches, click Generate multiple times and use Copy All to collect results, or refresh and regenerate.

Are Canadian numbers included?

Canada shares the +1 country code and NANP format with the US, so the generated numbers could technically be valid in either country depending on the area code.
